Am I really an adult?

I’m 32 years old. I’m the boss at work. I’m a husband. I’m a father to three beautiful children. I have a mortgage, my cars are paid off. But am I really an adult?

My wife frequently (lovingly, I hope) calls me her 4th kid. And, I probably deserve that title.

I get really excited when playing “Muppets Party Cruise” or “Lights, Camera, Pants” on the Playstation with the kids. I love to play around with my car. I like to chase the kids all over the house, tickling, playing ‘hide and seek,’ or tag. I get excited about things like the Busted Knuckle Garage, or a new Playstation game. I just don’t feel like a ‘grown up’ most of the time.

I do sometimes, feel grown up. Like when I have to scold one of my kids. Or when I have to keep track of 20 different projects at work. But when it all comes down to it, I’m really excited about that new ringer for my phone, or the latest electronic gadget that I might be able to buy.

Nope, you’re not an adult (i.e., serious, looks at the world seriously, etc.) You’re a HAPPY adult :)
