Christi and I are back from our vacation with Barbara and Joe in CanCun, Mexico. We stayed at the Riu Caribe in the hotel zone and had a great time.
We only stayed a 6 days, counting travel to and from, but it was definitely an awesome time! I highly recommend the Riu Caribe, but all of the hotels in the hotel zone looked great. I think the kids would definitely like to visit one of the hotels with a water slide or pirate ship in their pool!
Of course, we spent the first day on the beach where I got a good sun burn. This didn’t slow me down for the rest of the trip, even if I did wear a t-shirt when we were at the pool!
All-in-all, it was a great trip and I’m fully refreshed. It was kind of a drag to have to go back to work, and it took me a few days to catch up, but I’m very glad we went!

I love Cancun, for obvious reasons, and am especially happy to read about your great trip. I have stayed at Riu Cancun, visited the Riu Palace Las Americas, and was most impressed with the beach at Riu Caribe. This is truly a wonderful relaxing family friendly resort, something that is much needed in the Cancun Hotel Zone.
