iRobot – NEW! iRobot Looj 120 Gutter Cleaning Robot
iRobot just announced the availability of what I think is the best thing since sliced bread! It’s the Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot. It doesn’t slice, dice, or julienne, but it does clean your gutters quickly and safely! I’ve been eyeing these ever since they first appeared as rumor on the internet, and they are now available! You have to check out the video to get the full impact.
You do still have to climb your ladder, but only once for each gutter. The Looj has a ’3 stage’ auger that flips leaves, pine cones, and other debris right over the side of the gutter. You send it zooming down your gutters with a wireless remote control, and then bring it back (I don’t know if the auger spins when the Looj is in reverse).
At $99 for the base model, and $169 for the higher end (which really just adds a replacement auger, replacement battery, and holster), this is much cheaper than any gutter helmet type of gutter cleanliness system. I think the base model is good enough, replacement batteries are $30 and replacement augers are $15. The holster is just fluff, and who would want to put a dirty Looj into a nice, clean, holster?
I think I just found the first item for my Christmas list.
