So, we actually signed our contract yesterday evening. The builder is so great to continue things while we wait for our lender to get moving with the check. The house is a bit more than we thought it would be, but I think we’ll be able to manage things. Later today, the wood should be delivered so they can start framing tomorrow!
Also, I went for another run yesterday. It was about a half an hour and not much running at all?but that was due to my running partners. Not that I’m complaining. Yesterday, Sarah and Cooper came with me. Of course, Cooper was in the stroller, so he didn’t slow me down. Sarah wanted to run with me, and since she’s seven, she can’t really keep up. I’m really happy that she wanted to come, being able to spend time with her during the week is great. With homework and dance classes, we don’t usually get to spend much time together Monday through Friday. So, I was a very happy dad walking with two of the kids last night. Plus, I probably wouldn’t have run very fast without the kids?I’m still sore from Tuesday!

I am so sore today.? Last night, I finally got started doing something I’ve told myself I was going to do for a long time.? I started running.? This past weekend we purchased a jogging stroller for Cooper, and he and I went for a run last night.? Of course, it’s been a few years since I ran anywhere except the fridge.? So, I’m a little bit sore today.? I think we went 2 miles and about 30 minutes.? I didn’t run the whole time, so I’m pretty slow.? But it was fun.? And the soreness today is the good kind of sore–the kind that reminds you you’re alive!

I stumbled on the ToolMonger a couple weeks ago and I think I’m in love with these guys (not that way). They typically write tool reviews, cheap tool finds (think Harbor Freight), shop/garage tips, and daily tool/guy related TV listings. The writing style is very friendly and conversational. I could do without the TV listings. I get all excited when I see a new post from them in my feed reader, but when I see it’s the TV listings, I get bummed–that’s what I’ve got Tivo for–I don’t need TV listings anymore. Turns out they’ve been around since April 11, 2006–two days after my first “For the Love of Tools” post, hmm…maybe I gave them the idea. Probably not.

We were going through the clothes that the cleaner deemed “too damaged” the other night to make sure that there was nothing we wanted to try and save. We found this:

I’m really excited to find Cooper’s mye28.com t-shirt as the designer of these shirts (Mike Skeen) doesn’t have any more in a kids size and Cooper really liked it!
House update: No bricklayer yet today. A storm came through last night, and I guess it was too wet for him to work. What a bummer.
