TimesDispatch.com TACKY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TOUR
I’m sure all of you Richmonders have heard of the Tacky Lights tour. Heck, I heard about it 2 years before I moved here. Of course, I don’t consider any of them tacky…they are just pretty much standard issue house lights in CA!
Anyway, the Times Dispatch is running their usual list of addresses and, being geographically challenged everywhere but Midlothian, this list has always frustrated me. I read the addresses but have no idea where anything is. While I could look up everything indiviudally at a map website, it’s hard to figure out exactly what’s close to each other.
With that problem in mind and all of the neat ‘mashups’ that people are making with Google Maps I went to YourGmap.com and created a map of the addresses at the Times Dispatch website.
This is just the addresses available as of today, and I don’t know if I will update it. All of the green arrows are on the ‘official’ lists, the yellow ones on the ‘recommended but not checked’ list. The blue one is from the ‘non-residential’ list.
Edit: I had no idea there was an ‘official site’ for the Tacky lights tour. That’ll teach me to Google something before I go making my own map…
